Privacy Policy

1. Your Consent

This privacy policy has been updated recently, in order to be more consistent with the latest Web privacy standards, as well as to reaffirm Hopinit's commitment to keeping your data private. These changes are unlikely to impact your day-to-day experience with the Hopinit builder.

Hopinit (“Hopinit”, “We” or “Us”) understands that you value your privacy. This privacy policy describes how We may collect and use information pertaining to each of our unregistered visitors and registered users (“Visitor”, “User” or “Customer”) (collectively referred to as “You”) in connection with their access to and use of Hopinit’s website builder (“Hopinit Builder” or “Builder”) or any Services Hopinit provides (“Services” or “Service”) (including and any of its subdomains, the “Website”). At Hopinit, We want to make your experience online satisfying and safe. This policy governs information that you provide to Us or that We learn from your use of our website, (referred to as “The Site” or “Site”).

This policy describes how We may collect, use, and in some instances share this information.

This Privacy Policy constitutes a binding and enforceable legal contract between Hopinit and you - so read it carefully. Please note: You are not obligated by law to provide Us with any information. You hereby acknowledge, warrant and agree that any information You do provide us is provided of your own free will and consent, for the purposes and uses described herein.

2. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal information (“PI”) is information that identifies You or can be used to identify, contact, or locate You. This includes, but is not limited to, your name (i.e., first name or initial and last name), home or business address, email address, telephone number, and debit or credit card information such as the credit card number, card verification value, or billing address.

We respect your privacy. We only collect PI through optional, voluntary submissions, such as email, survey information, and online registration/billing forms. The types and amount of personal information collected from these activities will vary depending on the activity, but in no event will We collect PI that is not voluntarily given by You.

Non personal information (“NPI”) may be collected while You are visiting the Site or using the Hopinit Builder. This anonymous data includes your IP address, web pages which have been viewed by You on our Site, click-throughs, and your interactions with the Hopinit Builder.

This type of information may be collected using different types of technologies, which can be summed up into two categories – usage tracking and browser cookies. We discuss each of these in the next section.

3. How Do We Collect Such Information?

We track NPI usage data and User traffic patterns throughout the Site and Builder to improve our overall content and the quality of our Service. In addition, We track click-through information, including IP addresses, to our Site and Builder from the reports and emails We send to our Customers. This is done to gauge the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and to monitor use of our Site and Builder.

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from our Site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. You have the ability of deleting cookies on your computer should You so wish.

The Site and Builder uses browser cookies to record current session information. If You choose the ‘remember me’ option, You are issued a permanent cookie. A permanent cookie is one that remains on the hard drive after the browser application has been closed. Hopinit does not share any cookie information with third parties.

You can choose to remove cookies stored by Us from your computer, or to prevent us from storing cookies on your computer in the first place. Hopinit cookies will appear in your browser as coming from the following domains: Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, most modern browsers can also be configured to decline cookies, and allow You to delete existing cookies. Consult your browser’s documentation, typically available through the “Help” menu on the toolbar, for instructions on how to prevent the browser from accepting new cookies, how to delete cookies, how to have the browser notify You when You receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. If You choose to decline cookies, You may not be able to use or access some of the interactive features offered on the Site. 4. Why Do We Collect Such Information?

We may collect PI voluntarily submitted by You through the Site when, for example, You register on the Site. Some common uses of this PI include identification and authentication, billing, and contacting Customers with notifications and/or product emails. We may combine PI with NPI (“Your Information”) and use it to better target content and to create a more relevant experience for each Customer and User on the Site and Builder. For example, We may use the Customer login name (PI) and connected browsing history (NPI) to send better directed marketing emails to interested Customers. Your Information We collect on the Site is not shared with Hopinit Customers or Users, and We only use this information for our internal marketing purposes.

Hopinit collects Your Information through the Builder. Hopinit may use Your Information for the following reasons:

  • To better target content to Users and to create a more relevant experience for each Customer or User in the Builder.
  • Your Information may be collected through the Builder created by a particular Customer and is collected solely for the benefit of the Customer. For example, when a Customer creates a Website, they may enter information. Your Information may be stored on Hopinit’s servers and the Customer will have access to this information via their hopinit login.
  • To provide aggregate reporting to Customers, for our internal purposes, or to other third parties for marketing, analytic and advertising purposes. Such aggregate reporting does not identify You personally, and only identifies reporting statistics.
  • We may provide Your Information to trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of processing information on our behalf. These third parties are bound to keep your NPI and PI confidential. We do not otherwise share Your Information with third parties unless doing so is appropriate to carry out your request or We reasonably believe that doing so is legally required or necessary to protect your rights or those of Hopinit and our Customers.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, Hopinit’s Privacy Policy does not apply to, and We cannot fully control how, third parties use your information. Accordingly, We cannot be held responsible for Customer's use or other third parties use of your NPI and PI.
  • If We should ever file for bankruptcy or have our assets sold to or merge with another entity, information We receive from You is a Hopinit asset and may be transferred.
  • The Site and Builder are hosted in the United States. If You are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that You are transferring your personal data to the United States which does not have the same data protection laws as the EU and by providing your personal data You consent to: The use of your personal data for the purposes identified above in accordance with this Privacy Policy; and The transfer of your personal data to the United States as indicated above.

Once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems. We use secure server software (SSL) and firewalls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, this is not a guarantee that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software. To the extent permitted by law, We hereby disclaim any liability related to a security breach or loss of your information.

If We learn of a security system's breach, we will adhere to all applicable security laws. We may attempt to notify You electronically so that You can take appropriate protective steps. By using the Builder or providing personal information to Us You agree that We can communicate with You electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of the Hopinit Builder. We may post a notice on our Site if a security breach occurs or may send an email to You at the email address You have provided to Us.

6. Changes and Updates

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. When We do, We will also revise the “last updated” date on the Privacy Policy. Any such amendment to this Privacy Policy will be effective upon our posting of the revised Privacy Policy. Be sure to periodically review our Privacy Policy to stay informed about how We use information We collect from You. Your continued use of the Builder constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any updates.
